Amy "Boots" King - Chief Development Officer

As a second-generation Las Vegas native, Amy King’s heart is rooted in the Las Vegas community. Amy has been a proud part of the Candlelighters family since 2015, when she started her journey as a camp counselor at Camp Firefly. The children, families, mission, and impact of Candlelighters brought her back to Camp Firefly every year, and she quickly began recruiting family, friends, and peers to support the foundation as supporters, volunteers, and sponsors. For Amy, Candlelighters is more than an organization – it is a family. Her flame is fueled by the resilience of the children and families we serve, and she is committed to helping families feel supported, encouraged, and never alone on their journey.

With over 15 years of experience building and leading teams, business leadership, strategic planning, and operational efficiency across 4 states, Amy is grateful for the privilege of applying her business and leadership skills to an organization and mission she deeply cares about as our Chief Development Officer.

Outside of work, Amy loves traveling, making new friends, exploring nature, being on a yoga mat, playing board games or sports in the park with friends, singing in the car with the windows down, attending live performances, and improving her newfound passion for running.
