A Night of Costumes, Connection & Community at the Candlelighters Halloween Bash

Every October, the Candlelighters Halloween Bash transforms into a night of costumes, candy, and community for children battling cancer and their families. Presented by the generous Ellis Family and the Ellis Island team, this beloved event provides a safe, joy-filled celebration where kids can embrace the magic of the season without the worry of hospital visits or treatment schedules. From trick-or-treat stations to themed games and festive entertainment, families enjoy a rare chance to simply be together and make happy memories.

On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Candlelighters hosted the annual Halloween Bash at the Grand Prix Plaza, home of the FORMULA ONE HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, turning it into a vibrant night of celebration and connection. More than 120 families and 375 kids attended, enjoying trunk-or-treating, rides, activities, and sensory-friendly spaces created with the unique needs of childhood cancer families in mind. These thoughtful touches made the event accessible, memorable, and truly magical for diagnosed children and bereaved siblings.

The success of the Halloween Bash is made possible through a powerful community of volunteers, sponsors, and donors who help bring the event to life each year. Their support—along with the steadfast partnership of the Ellis Family and Ellis Island team—ensures that families can enjoy a worry-free night of fun. From handing out candy to hosting activity stations, every volunteer role makes a meaningful impact and helps create moments of joy that families carry with them long after the night ends.

This cherished tradition continues to shine because of the kindness and dedication of everyone involved. By supporting the Halloween Bash—whether through volunteering, sponsoring, or donating—our community helps light up the lives of children facing childhood cancer and reminds families that they are never alone. Thank you for helping us make this Halloween unforgettable for the brave kids we serve.
