Melissa Cipriano
Melissa Cipriano began working for Candlelighters in October of 2006 after many years working in the “for-profit” arena. She gained her knowledge and experience working with non-profit agencies in her previous line of work as the Community Affairs Director for KLAS-TV, Channel 8. There she worked directly with non-profit agencies and was on the other side of the fence by making contributions to various programs on behalf of the television station. During her eight years at KLAS, Melissa was actively involved with United Way’s Success by 6 initiative, Susan G. Komen Foundation, I Have A Dream Foundation and remains as a board member with Kids Voting of Greater Las Vegas.
Melissa’s compassion for children’s issues stem from being a mother of two wonderful children; she is fortunate that they are healthy and is committed to helping others in need.
