Annette L. Logan

Annette Logan has worked in the healthcare industry for over twenty years; she has widespread experience in specialty pharmacy services, durable medical equipment and specialty outpatient clinic management. Annette has been a Board member since 2003 and has been involved with Candlelighters as a volunteer for several years; currently serving as the 1st Vice President of the Board. Annette has been a member of the local healthcare community since 1995.
Annette has been involved with volunteer organizations for many years. She first started her public service in 1985; overseas with the American Red Cross in West Germany, where she was a full time volunteer. While serving overseas, she co-developed and taught the Preparation for Parenthood Program; an educational program that taught expectant parents; Lamaze, fetal development through the first year of life and child safety along with infant CPR. She trained with the US Air Force Fire Department at Spangdahlem Air Base in West Germany for rescue and relief missions. After returning to the United States; she volunteered with the American Lung Association; where she helped plan the Respiratory Health Conference in Las Vegas. She worked with The American Heart Association, as well as local Christian Schools on a number of fund raising programs. Annette is the co-founder of the Las Vegas Christmas Kids Project, which was an organized giving program for children in southern Nevada; who are either infected or affected by the HIV/AIDS virus. Through this project needed clothing, shoes, coats, and hygiene items; as well as Christmas gifts and holiday food are provided to families suffering from the deadly disease and in great need of assistances.
Annette is a nurse by training and has over 15 years of hands on experience working with adults and children who have been diagnosed with cancer. In addition to working with Candlelighters; Annette has raised money for Muscular Dystrophy, The Susan G. Koman Foundation, Lake Mead Christian Academy, and The American Red Cross. Most recently, Annette has become involved with St. Baldrick’s Foundation; an international organization raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.
Currently, Annette is pursuing her passion for the nonprofit industry as a consultant to various non-profit organizations in Las Vegas; grant writing, developing policies and procedures, staff and volunteer orientation programs and strategic planning.
